GOODWILL KEYSTONE OPENS NEW HARRISBURG STORE & DONATION CENTER WITH RIBBON CUTTING ON JUNE 20
HARRISBURG, Pa. – Goodwill Keystone celebrated the grand opening of its newest store and donation center at 5051 Hampton Court Road, Harrisburg, PA 17112 on Friday, June 20, at 12:00 p.m. with a public ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring Senator Patty Kim, Dauphin County Commissioner Mike Pries, and other locally elected officials.
This new, spacious location will create 20 new jobs for the community and continues Goodwill Keystone’s long-standing commitment to transforming donations into opportunity—providing local job training, career services, and environmental impact through the power of reuse. The store is expected to contribute to Goodwill Keystone’s growing sustainability footprint, while also improving the customer and donor experience and expanding access to affordable goods for residents of Dauphin County and beyond.
“Every donation, every purchase helps create training, paychecks, and career pathways,” said Edward J. Lada Jr., President & CEO of Goodwill Keystone. “This store reflects our mission in action—advancing sustainability and economic mobility in the communities we proudly serve.”
In 2024, Goodwill Keystone diverted 30.2 million pounds of materials from landfills, processed over 45 million pounds of donations, and expanded free e-waste recycling across 42 retail sites. These efforts are part of a larger vision to build a more circular, inclusive economy that empowers individuals and families to thrive.
The new, nearly 34,000 square-foot Harrisburg store and donation center offers a wide selection of quality donated items including clothing, furniture, home décor, toys, electronics, and more.
Grand opening day included giveaways and raffles, as well as family-friendly activities, including a petting zoo at 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. and free hot dogs and snowballs starting at 12:00 p.m. This ribbon-cutting ceremony marks not just the opening of a retail space, but a deeper investment in people, purpose, and the planet.
Goodwill Keystone asks the community to bring their gently-used items, including electronics in all sizes and conditions, to the new store to help local individuals and families thrive and flourish.
Beginning Friday, June 20, the new store hours are Monday – Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., and Sunday, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. For more information, visit yourgoodwill.org/ColonialPark or check out the Grand Opening Facebook event.
