Practicing Soft Skills - Interviewing

Project SEARCH, a partnership with the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation OVR, is an internationally trademarked and copyrighted program originally developed at Cincinnati Children‘s Hospital to help individuals with disabilities transition from school to work. The goal of this program is competitive employment in an integrated setting for every participant. This nine to twelve month program provides participants with multiple internships at a host business as well as classroom training in employability and independent living skills. The model has expanded to include young adults as well as transition age youth.

A day in the life of a Project SEARCH intern

8:30AM – 9:30AM……Classroom instruction
9:30AM – 10:00AM….Travel to worksites
(Transportation provided for off-site locations)
10:00AM – 2:00PM…..Working at worksite
(30 minute lunch)
2:00PM – 2:30PM…….Travel from worksite
2:30PM – 3:00PM…….Reflection/Journal Writing/Dismissal
