GOODWILL KEYSTONE CELEBRATES GRAND OPENING OF NEW DOWNINGTOWN RETAIL STORE WITH RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY AND MORE

Downingtown, Pa. – Goodwill Keystone celebrated the grand opening of its newest retail store and donation center at 955 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335 on Thursday, October 16 at 12:00 p.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring local and regional officials, community partners, and Goodwill Keystone leadership.

Located in East Caln Township’s Ashbridge Square Shopping Center, this new store expands Goodwill Keystone’s presence in Chester County while creating about 30 new jobs for the community. The opening represents Goodwill Keystone’s ongoing commitment to transforming donations into opportunity providing job training, career pathways, and sustainable impact through the power of reuse.

The store officially opened to shoppers at 9:00 a.m. on October 16, welcoming guests to a full day of celebration featuring hourly raffles, live music from Y102 Radio (9-11 a.m.), and Halloween-themed activities including trick-or-treating from 3 to 6 p.m. The first 500 customers received a free Halloween-themed reusable tote bag and custom stickers as a thank you for joining in the grand opening festivities.

In 2024, Goodwill Keystone helped divert over 30 million pounds of materials from landfills, processed over 45 million pounds of donations, and expanded free e-waste recycling across its retail network. The Downingtown store adds to these efforts, advancing Goodwill Keystone’s mission to build a more circular, inclusive economy that empowers individuals and families to thrive.

The new retail store offers a wide selection of quality donated items including clothing, furniture, home decor, electronics, and more, continuing Goodwill Keystone’s legacy of affordability, sustainability, and opportunity for all.
