Goodwill Keystone Area Sells Lancaster Office Property

LANCASTER, Pa. (Feb. 2, 2023) – Goodwill Keystone Area announced an agreement to sell its property at 1048 N. Plum St. in Lancaster to Bigash Properties II LLC for $1.9 million. Goodwill cited underutilization of the facility as the primary reason for selling the property.

“Since the pandemic, we have seen a significant increase in the number of office employees moving to a hybrid work schedule,” Goodwill Keystone Area President and CEO Ed Lada said. “The sale of the Plum Street property allows us to generate working capital that we can reinvest into facilities that are better suited to meet our operational needs as we continue to grow.”

Goodwill operated at the Plum Street location for more than 50 years. The 19,000-square-foot facility includes office and warehouse space, and at the time of the sale more than 20 employees worked at the location. Goodwill is now leasing office space at the HACC Lancaster campus for its mission and administrative support teams.
