Goodwill Celebrates Grand Reopening at Cressona Mall

Goodwill Keystone Area will celebrate the grand reopening of its remodeled store at the Cressona Mall at 1544 Route 61 Hwy in Pottsville, PA on Friday, March 3. The store, which is located inside the mall, will have give-aways and the mascot Good Dog from 9am to 1pm. The store will remain open until 8pm.

The store expanded from 5,475 to 7,575 square feet. The remodel makes room for additional inventory of clothes and housewares, and more dressing rooms. This location is open Monday to Saturday 9am-8pm, and Sunday 11am-4pm. The phone number is 570.385.8261.

The new location will also have an office and meeting space for Goodwill’s mission services. Goodwill employees will be able to serve people seeking job training services. The mission of Goodwill Keystone Area is to support persons with disabilities and other barriers to independence in achieving their fullest potential as workers and as members of the broader community. In support of the mission, Goodwill collects and sells donated items in more than 48 stores and donation centers in Pennsylvania 22 counties, including Schuylkill. Goodwill’s philosophy is that work is a building block of community and that when people are given an opportunity to work, their self-esteem increases and other problems are minimized.
