Thinking about getting rid of your car before the winter? Don’t trade it in to the dealer, donate it! Goodwill’s Wheels for Work program takes donated cars and gives them to low-income working parents. Imagine not having a car and relying on the kindness of others or public transportation to get you everywhere you need to be. The recipients of the cars fill out applications and are required to take financial and car maintenance classes. Plus your car donation is tax deductable. Upon donating the car, Goodwill Keystone Area will provide you with the proper IRS paperwork. Give the gift of transportation this holiday season, for both yourself and someone else!
