What
is the Youth Success Planning Initiative?
Goodwill’s
Youth Success Planning Initiative (YSPI) is a community based program
that exposes youth to a wide range of activities. YSPI provides
learning experiences designed to improve a youth’s chances
of success in school and employment so that they become active and
contributing members of their communities.

is Eligible?
- Any
youth 14-21 years of age who attends a public school.
- Any
youth who is out of school and has barriers to education or employment.

Youth
Success Planning Initiative Goals
- To
help youth stay in school and graduate with a high school diploma
or equivalent.

To help youth without a diploma obtain a GED.
- Link
youth to employment or post secondary ducation/training to support
greater self-sufficiency.
- Link
youth with services like child care, a driver’s license,
and housing and transportation assistance that support a successful
transition into adulthood.
- Teach
youth critical job readiness and career development skills to
transition into employment and other opportunities.
