Goodwill Keystone Area will celebrate the grand opening of its newest store at Silver Moon Center, 175 International Drive in Lewisburg on Thursday, October 8.

The hours of operation are Monday to Saturday 9am to 9pm and Sunday 11am to 6pm. The phone number is 570-867-8079. 

Rick Moser, vice president of retail operations for Goodwill Keystone Area, said, “This community has been very welcoming and supportive. We are touched by the positive response and excitement about Goodwill coming to Lewisburg.”

Goodwill, a non-profit organization, provides a variety of programs and services to people with disabilities. Goodwill support persons with disabilities and other barriers to independence in achieving their fullest potential as workers and as members of the broader community.  In support of the mission, Goodwill collects and sells donated items in 47 stores and donation centers in 22 counties in central and southeastern Pennsylvania, which includes Union County.

Goodwill’s philosophy is that work is a building block of community and that when people are given an opportunity to work, their self-esteem increases and other problems are minimized. Last year, 4,363 people received life changing services from Goodwill Keystone Area.
