Goodwill Opens Donation Center in Lewisburg


On Friday, April 24, Goodwill Keystone Area will open a new donation center located at Silver Moon Center, 175 International Drive, Lewisburg. The donation center will be staffed by Goodwill donor representatives to assist with donations and issue a receipt for tax purposes.

The hours of operation will be Monday to Saturday 10am to 6pm and Sunday noon to 5pm. At this time, this site is only a donation center. In fall of 2015, Goodwill will open a new store at this location.

Goodwill accepts clothing, shoes, jewelry, accessories, antiques, books, CDs, records, videotapes, DVDs, and housewares. We also accept computers, monitors, and printers. Goodwill cannot accept some items due to safety concerns, environmental regulations or high disposal costs. Below are items that we are unable to accept: 

  • Furniture (at Lewisburg location, furniture is accepted at the Goodwill Donation Center located at 2690 N Susquehanna Trail, Shamokin Dam)
  • TVs
  • Any recalled Items
  • Infant Furniture (Cribs, Highchairs, Car Seats, Strollers, etc.)
  • Unsafe, broken, or non-working item
  • Large Exercise Equipment
  • Lawn Mowers
  • Mattresses
  • Air Conditioners
  • Dehumidifiers
  • Hazardous Chemicals
  • Household Chemicals
  • Kerosene Heaters
  • Large Appliances
  • Small Engines
  • Tires
  • Weapons

The mission of Goodwill Keystone Area, a non-profit, is to support persons with disabilities and other barriers to independence in achieving their fullest potential as workers and as members of the broader community. In support of the mission, Goodwill collects and sells donated items in more than 42 stores and donation centers in 22 counties, including Union County, in central and southeastern Pennsylvania.
