Goodwill helps persons with disabilities as well as people who are at an economic disadvantage, or may lack education or work experience. Additionally, we provide job skill training to youth and seniors.
The vision of Goodwill Keystone Area continues to be empowering those we serve to reach their fullest potential as workers and as members of the broader community. We assist individuals in overcoming employment barriers, including welfare dependency, illiteracy and disabilities, and introduce them to the power of earning a paycheck.
In support of the mission and to provide training opportunities, Goodwill collects and sells donated items in more than 35 stores in 22 central and southeastern Pennsylvania counties. Those counties are Adams, Berks, Bucks, Chester, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lehigh, Lycoming, Mifflin, Montgomery, Montour, Northampton, Northumberland, Perry, Schuylkill, Snyder, Union and York.
Goodwill trainees often start their careers in our stores and donation centers.
Goodwill provides business services such as custodial, document shredding, laser cartridge remanufacturing, packaging and assembly to businesses and government. Proceeds from business services fund job training and employment programs. In addition to our stores, our business services offer training opportunities for our trainees.
